Andreas Tonelli, bike mountaineer and bike guide from Fiè allo Sciliar is looking for a special adventure on the bike!
Many of us mountain bikers know the feeling when the terrain becomes alpine or, from 2,500 - 3,000m, high alpine. For me, this always triggers a feeling between alertness and enthusiasm, which focuses my concentration so that only the moment and the next passage count.
With Andreas, however, these are completely different dimensions and this includes not only the courage and tenacity to put a project like this into practice, but also the ability to keep your bike under control at the highest level far from civilization and in oxygen shortages.
This was achieved when climbing the Volcán Ojos del Salado, which at 6,893m is the second highest mountain in America. If you want to do that you can book a ticket to Chile and head to the Atacama Desert ;-)
