Product description DC
The TATZE DC with steel axle is made for forward-driven riders who push hard on the pedal and want a clip pedal that delivers performance and keeps up – whether in XC racing, marathons, or on fast gravel trails.
The CNC-milled aluminum body provides large contact surfaces for the shoe, ensuring a direct power transfer, precise riding feel, and high durability – even when the race gets intense.
Inside, three high-quality ball bearings ensure a smooth, reliable operation and long service life.
The new SPD-compatible click mechanism allows you to adjust the release tension individually, so you can tailor the engagement and release exactly to your riding style. And thanks to the Easy-Out-System™, quick, clean release is guaranteed at all times.

What is the Q-factor of the DC pedal?
The DC has a Q-factor of 55 mm. By adjusting the position of the cleat, the Q-factor can be modified by approximately ±2.0 mm per side, allowing for a total range of 52.5 to 57.5 mm.
Can I also use cleats from other manufacturers with TATZE pedals?
Our pedals with bindings come with a specially tuned cleat, for which we guarantee the function. Cleats from other manufacturers may also work, but in this case, we recommend first clipping in and out of the cleat while stationary and in a safe environment (e.g., traffic-free zone) to check the function. Using cleats from other manufacturers in combination with TATZE pedals is at your own risk, as we cannot guarantee the function.
Can I adjust or optimize the function of the binding?
Yes, that is possible.
Our pedals feature a binding with adjustable release tension. Turning the adjustment screw clockwise makes clipping in and out firmer. Turning it counterclockwise makes the binding release more easily.
A tip: Occasionally spray the binding with some chain oil. This keeps the metal parts moving smoothly, making clipping in and out effortless and fluid.
What spare parts are available for the DC?
We offer various replacement parts that allow you to keep your pedal in top condition for the long term.
- Refresh kit (replacement of bearings and seals)
- Replacement axles
- Cleats (shoe plates)
With these, you can renew all important components yourself as needed and maintain your pedal optimally.
