Platform with 88x97mm (WxL) and with the 9 optimal PINs can intensify the contact to the shoe. Those who also use a shoe with a long recess for the cleat (e.g. Shimano AM series) can place the shoe over the binding, turning the CONTACT DH into a flat pedal.
The SPD-compatible click mechanism is delivered with specially tuned cleats. The release tension can be adjusted, and the 5° float and 12° release angle provide enough play and timely release of the shoe during active riding.
Quality and durability are especially important for a gravity pedal and are ensured by the CNC-milled pedal body, the high-strength steel axle, and the high-quality bearings (large ball bearing + wide Needle roller bearing).

Can I also use cleats from other manufacturers with TATZE pedals?
Our pedals with binding come with a specially tuned cleat, for which we guarantee the function. Cleats from other manufacturers can also work, but in this case we recommend first clipping in and out of the cleat while stationary and in a safe environment (e.g. traffic-free zone) to check the function. The use of cleats from other manufacturers in combination with TATZE pedals is at your own risk, as we cannot guarantee the function.
Can I adjust or optimize the function of the binding?
Yes, that is possible.
Our pedals have a binding with adjustable release tension. Turning the adjustment screw clockwise makes the clipping in and out crisper. Turning it counterclockwise makes the binding release more easily.
A tip: Spray the binding from time to time with some chain oil. This keeps the metal parts moving smoothly, and clipping in and out works easily and smoothly.
